We're helping Americans through the Great Depression, the treasurer of a Midwestern credit union said that credit unions were "not for profit, not for charity, but for service," and that philosophy holds true today.

It is a philosophy that as Americans, we should hold true in our everyday lives. The purpose of this scholarship is to introduce our members to the values of cooperatives and the spirit of volunteerism.

Scholarship Award, you are requested to submit an essay. This essay should highlight how you hope to deliver the philosophy -- "not for profit, not for charity, but for service" -- throughout your life's journey to your community and country in order to help others achieve their dreams.
