Prospect a salesperson via a social media site such as LinkedIn or some professional group (Carbondale Young Professional) or other approaches (Meetup.com, sales organizations, networking, etc.). Your task is to introduce yourself as a student learning all about sales and explain your desire to learn about how he/ she prospects and gains pre-call information. Ask and get answers to the following questions. 1. How do you prospect? 2. How often do you prospect? 3. Which prospecting methods provide the most number of actual sales? 4. Which methods help to get the most number of eventual sales? 5. What do you consider to be the characteristics of a good prospect? 6. How do you keep track of prospects? 7. What types of pre-call information do you attempt to obtain? Where do you get that information? Conduct an interview with any types of salespeople: (it could be one who sells industrial products, one who is a pharmaceutical rep, one who sells consumer products to grocery stores, a car salesperson, etc.). Share the following information: • Name of the Salesperson • Contact Information (email or phone) • Company they work for The assignment should include the following:

1. Introduction and conclusion with your insight.

2. This is a group assignment with a minimum of 3 people per group.

3. Provide clarity on the role of each person doing the assignment. Who completed the research, conducted the interview, drafted/edited/formatted the assignment.

4. Provide a team score for each team member on the last page.

5. Formatting - bold and number the questions, provide bulleted points as required. Make the assignment easy to read. 6. Provide all the requested information
