4. Do they discuss how they will (or will not; that''s fine too) use each source in their research essay?

5. Do they use MLA style for the bibliographic entry? This includes alphabetizing the sources by the author''s last name, utilizing a hanging indent, and including all proper information.

6. Is their assignment so far technically accurate? Is it double spaced throughout without returning twice between entries? Does it have page numbers? A clear and interesting title? Do they use correct punctuation, spelling, and grammar? If not, remind them of the need for all of these things as best you can.

7. Finally, how do you expect these sources to be used to persuade readers? An effectively done Annotated Bibliography will make this clear to a careful reader. What will be the point of their Persuasive Research Essay?
