How do you determine whether an ordered pair is a solution to a linear equation?  Can you demonstrate with the below examples?

Determine whether the ordered pair is a solution to the given equation.

Example 1:  3y + 2 x = 0, (-2, 3)

Example 2:  0.31x - 0.42y = -9, (100, 100)
