Review the articles and links provided in the content areas of the unit and use the ideas included in these readings and any other related articles found in your personal research to answer the following questions in a PowerPoint.

How do you define a community?

Include your personal definition of what is included in your definition of community.

Include your geographical characteristics of your community including name of town and state, and how you would define the geographical characteristics (some examples include: urban, rural, suburban, southern, mid-western, isolated, tourist town, low-income, mountain town, small town, etc...)

List and discuss at least three elements of your community. This can include practical/real world examples, and statistics or demographics for each element of community engagement (be sure to include citations and references when needed) (some examples can include demographics of your community, who is included in your community i.e... work, church, activities, groups, neighborhoods, children's activities/schools, school, etc..., community activities i.e... skiing, water sports, fishing/hiking, animals, or overarching cultural diversity of your community i.e...race, culture, religion, politics, economic status).

Include at least three pictures that represent these elements of your community, they can be pictures you take, visual representations, or from the internet (be sure to cite where you obtained the visuals from). Provide a couple of sentences of how these pictures represent your community.

Define at least two examples of the strengths or best parts of your community and at least two examples of the barriers or challenges in your community.
