Question: How do you clearly identify necessary behaviours to successfully do this project, and how do you provide feedback to each other?

Behaviourally Anchored Rating Scales (BARS) are used to identify and assess behaviours necessary to carry out a job. In this case, the 'job' is your team project and how you work together. BARS will help to identify and assess desired as well as undesirable behaviours.

Instructions

  1. Make competency for collaboration that you believes are essential expectations of students in completing your Team Project. Essentially, the competencies you write are the expectations for how you will work together as a team.
  2.  Name and description and identify up to three critical behavioural indicators that fall under Developing, Meets Expectations and Exceeds Expectations. In total, you will write twenty-seven statements: nine statements (critical behavioural indicators) for each of the three competencies.
  3. Make a competency framework similar to the example below using BARS to measure each competency. Refer to page 131 of the textbook (5th edition) as well as the example below.
