Question: How do we make sure that doctors' prejudices don't affect whether they decide to prolong or shorten a patient's life?

It is challenging to develop a national definition for use in the medical field since the Japanese have conflicting views on how they define and perceive death. Given this, do you think it's essential to define death in the first place, as opposed to examining things individually? If so, how might this be accomplished while yet respecting people's religious or secular beliefs?

Some Japanese people have a variety of spiritual and cultural beliefs that are at odds with the concept of transplants, both in terms of the donor and the receiver. How can a cultural liaison help a patient who lived in the US have a conversation with the doctors? Would it be righteous to make an effort to change their minds even if it means saving a life?
