Solitary Confinement is a pillar of the correctional institution all across the world. Solitary Confinement looks different in different nations but the impacts and effects are similar on the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of humans. Human Rights watchdogs declare solitary confinement as the worst, most inhumane non-physical punishment that could be casted onto another human being.

Here in this video you will be introduced to Albert Woodfox who served 43 years in Solitary Confinement in Angola Prison in Louisiana. I had the privilege of meeting this amazing man and his story of life in solitary is truly a marvel. While I presenting individuals at Angola his story of survival was often a source of inspiration for the Lifers at Angola.
