Question: In your role as an educational assistant you will be assigned to work with students who have instructional challenges. Students disengage from learning for a variety of reasons (think back to Week 1, discussion 2 where we talked about student engagement). A challenge for an EA will be, "How do I reengage and teach this student?" One of the first places to start is to examine the task that is required of the student. (In the Individual Development in the Classroom (IDC) course you will learn more about human development and how this impacts learning.)
