Task Description
You are to write a report on how Big Data can be used in Decision making. Social network content, location and mobile data, video sensor data, enterprise application data and more are being generated at an unprecedented rate. If we can harness big data, it can dramatically improve decision-making for business. Select a use case from Marketing Automation and discuss in your report what is required for managing big data. Your report should also discuss the new requirements of the business, organization and IT infrastructure in the organization. Your task includes defining the technology stack and required data and analytics architecture including the Master Data Management (MDM), ETL/ELT/data enrichment, data warehousing, BI, and advanced analytics requirements necessary to support the Customer Intimacy business strategy. Your report should address:
1. Why Big Data intelligence is important?
2. How do Big Data management helps in IT Process management?
3. How structured and unstructured data can be merged for decision making?
4. What role social media plays in organisations decision making?
5. Your report should consist of 3000 words and use 10 scholarly articles.
The length of the assignment is 3000 words. Students are required to do extensive reading of more than 10 appropriate and relevant chosen topics in Big Data application. Please do in-text referencing of all chosen readings. Newspaper and magazine reports should be limited to a maximum of 2. A comprehensive report covering all key aspects of the topic selected is required. Report should be extremely well supported with relevant case studies. Any assumptions made are clearly noted. The report structure is clear, easy to read and logical, directly addressing the question. Suitable headers used throughout the report. Good use of graphics and charts.
