Assignment Quest for Religion - Find out which places of worship are near to where you live.

There are many ways to find out what is nearby: Google Maps, Yelp, MapQuest, and misc. other apps. While you can do some initial research on your smartphone, ultimately you will need to gather your images and text on a computer to submit as a Turn-It-In document.

1. Find those places of worship that are within a five to eight-mile radius from your home. Include one map image of the search area, but you may need to search a few times under a variety of terms (church, temple, etc.)

2. Make a list of all the churches and places of worship.

3. Answer these three questions:

A) What variety of Christianity is present? (Presumably there will be several different denominations of Christianity represented.)

B) How diverse is your list? What other religious systems are present? (Do you need to do a little research to figure out what different religions are present?)

C) Is there a place of worship you expected to find, but could not locate one nearby?
