A useful rhetorical analysis will help us understand the ways language creates discourse and how those (language and discourse) work in the
world to make and support claims and arguments. In this project your task is to make your own argument about how discourse works in relation to an public issue or conversation.

Step one will be to identify a viable discourse, and see will begin this process in class together. Next, you will filter sources to find at least three to use as the basis of your rhetorical analysis. Building from those three sources, you job will be to make arguments about how and in what ways those sources contribute to and shape a particular discourse related to a public issue or conversation.

When you have identified a useful sources, the following questions should help you begin the process drafting of rhetorical analysis:

When was it written, and how long has the discourse existed?
Who published the content? How does the publisher describe itself?
In what ways can you explain the tone and style of the writing?
In what ways can you explain how the writing tries to persuade us?
In what ways can you explain the choice of sources?
How does it contribute to or shape existing discourse? 1,000 to 1,250 words
