Assignment:

The image below depicts two genes encoding neuropeptides that are overexpressed in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus in animals that are fasted, compared to those that are not fasted (the controls). The increase in the number of dark-colored neurons is our indicator that more of that gene is being expressed in the right two panels vs the left two panels. Panel A is one gene (encoding one neuropeptide), and panel B is a different gene (encoding a different neuropeptide).
