Description

For this assignment, you will create an illustrated timeline of ten (10) events leading up to the American Revolution. The format is up to you-it can be a PowerPoint or Word document (ask beforehand to use a different format) but all submissions must contain the same information. Illustrated timeline means you must include images/pictures, maps, and/or graphics for each event. The events that you must include are:

First Continental Congress
Townshend Act
Sugar Act
The French and Indian War
Tea Act
Stamp Act
Lexington and Concord
Proclamation of 1763
Intolerable (Coercive) Acts
Boston Massacre
**You must put each event in chronological order and include the following information, which will be graded for historical accuracy:

The date the event occurred (1 point for each event)
An illustration of the event (1 point for each event)
A description of the event in a few sentences (4 points for each event)
An explanation of the impact of the event, to include the colonists' reaction or response and how the event led to a division between Great Britain and the colonists (in other words, how did this event put the colonies on the road to Revolution?). Do not state "colonists were angry at Great Britain" for every event- they obviously were angry but what specifically about this event pushed them closer to Revolution/war?? (4 points for each event)
