Joseph has resigned recently to the position of supervisor for the inspection department of a big manufacturing company. When he became supervisor, he started by prohibiting any conversation in the inspection area. He told his inspectors: “Your job is to verify the specifications on installed motors. Any conversation will distract and can cause big losses. If you want to talk, do it on your time off”.
