Your book says," In great symphonies like the Eroica and the Fifth, he (Beethoven) defined the Romantic style in music." How do you define "the Romantic Style of music"? How is it different from Classical music and how does Beethoven's music compare with later Romantic composers?
Question 3: How did the Industrial Revolution change cities? What impact did it have on the life of people who already lived in a city that added factories? What impact did the Industrial Revolution have on the life of those who moved to the cities to work in these factories? How did artists react to the changes?
Question 4: Romantic painting could be very different depending on where the art was being done. Yet, painters during this time shared a passion for the natural world, for drama, for ancient things. Compare the work of John Constable and J.M.W. Turner with the French realists Delacroix and Gericault. How are the similar? Are the French realists still Romantics?
