Assignment - Use the 5Ps to Analyse the Effectiveness of a Digital Marketing Campaign
In your project groups on Canvas, students will select a company and digital campaign. (Campaign should be from no earlier than 2016.)
Each team then provides a brief overview of the project and discusses campaign objectives, 5 Ps strategies (product, price, place, promotion and people), tactics, creativity and timeline and provides an analysis to determine whether or not the campaign was effective at engaging customers and achieving business goals.
Your presentation should focus on a high-level strategic analysis and incorporate multimedia storytelling (i.e. a combination of text, screen caps, visuals, gifs, videos, infographics, etc.). In other words, use visual media to help tell your story. If you have additional text you believe is essential to your presentation, you can add it to the notes section.
The report should be presented as a recorded video (up to 8 minutes long) and include PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva, Google Slides, or other visual examples of the campaign.
Exclusions: The following examples cannot be used as they're covered in the course or student example: Dove Real Beauty Campaign, Hospital for Sick Children.
Your report must answer the questions:
How did the company use the 5Ps to develop a digital strategy? Note: It's OK if you discuss 3 of the 5 Ps, provided you explain your rationale.
Was it successful at achieving its strategy? Why or why not?
What creative elements of the campaign worked best to achieve objectives and why?
