Imagine that you have been hired as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wells Fargo immediately following the news of the fraud scandal.

You need to give an introductory talk to the whole company via an online meeting, addressing how you will lead them past this scandal. You know that there may even be some employees who participated in the fraud who were not caught and are still among the ranks of your employees.

Write a 300-500 word speech directed to your employees (about 3-5 minutes). If you choose, you can provide your speech via a written script or you can record yourself providing this speech. If you do an audio or video recording you must be able to share with your instructor, you will also need to include your script.

Your speech should include:

1. Introduction - Address your audience (employees) let them know who you are and what your speech will be about. Grab their attention!

2. How this happened - Answer the following questions:

-Why did significant numbers of our company's employees rationalize fraud?

-How did the company lose control of its employees' behavior?

3. Proposed Changes - Then propose what your plans about it the situation are going forward. Do this by expressing the type of company culture you will promote as CEO, including the following ideas, put into your own words:

-Changing policies

-Improving the ethics hotline so that employees can report fraud without fear of losing their jobs

-Establishing penalties for managers and executives who do nothing about known fraud

-You may also choose to add additional ideas of your own for creating a more ethical culture.

4. Conclusion - Restate what you will do as CEO to protect the company from this type of scandal again.
