How did the actions in a particular theater of your choice during World War II represent a continuum of development from either an earlier war or represent a radical departure from the same?

The Midterm Essay should be written in current Turabian format, must include a minimum of 3 scholarly sources, and be a minimum of 3 full pages in length.

I would probably choose a big theater such as Normandy and compare the difference in how the United States' war strategies evolved as opposed to WWI. But you can deviate a bit if you thinkn of something better.
