1. As the Earth revolves around the Sun, we, standing here on Earth, see the sun rise in the East and set in the West. Early civilizations concluded that the Sun revolved around the Earth. The perceived path of the Sun is called the ecliptic. On the ecliptic there are 13 constellations officially recognized by the International Astronomical Union. 12 of these constellations are known as the zodiac. This article explains that there are really 13 constellations. What is the name of the 13th constellation. Why do you think it does not appear in the zodiac?

2. Astrology was invented about 2000 years ago. Since this time the precession of the Earth's pole has caused the stars to appear in different positions. Another problem with the assumptions of Astrology is that it uses the term retrograde to describe what was once believed to be a backwards motion of a planet but is now known to be an illusion based on planets lapping each other as they travel around the Sun.
