TIPS for Cultural Site Out Report:

1. Background research
Include research in your introduction, such as the history behind the subject viewed, your expectations etc.

2. Documentation
Prove you were there with graphics or photos. The visit MUST be this semester and should be as relevant to the class as possible.

3. Critical and constructive criticism
The good, the bad and the ugly. Well organized? Disorganized? Amazing coordination?

4. Learning and enjoyment
Did you learn something new? Did you enjoy the site? How did it match your expectations? How would you rate it for others?

FORMAT AND DOCUMENTATION

Date, class, location of virtual trip, photos or screen shots. Report is typed, readable. Name of student, section at top WITH WORD COUNT.

FORMAL CONTENT

Indentation, paragraphs splits, spelling, punctuation, capitalization.

FACTUAL CONTENT

Contained factual information, informs the reader. Gives in-depth information.

Shows research beyond just a simple visit by comparing/contrasting to other sites.

CRITICAL THINKING and CREATIVITY

Shows creative thinking and logical organization. Objective opinions (good and bad).

Praises good points or offers constructive criticism to improve the place virtually visited.
