Question: As part of changes in the field experience requirement for graduate students, the director of a human services program is planning to offer an interdisciplinary cooperative training program for master's interns. Interns would be assigned to work in actual work settings, rotating settings every three weeks in a semester. The focus of the experience is to provide a range of work experience and settings for a student in a semester. Discuss possible interventions in the following three areas: work settings (what community work settings would provide good internship experiences?), responsibilities for interns (what should interns do at each setting?), and evaluation procedures for experiences (how determine if the experiences are beneficial to interns?).
