Sylvia is a 43-year-old woman who has come to the emergency room because of a possible heart attack. She explains to the attending physician that she was sitting at her desk at work and suddenly felt her "heart pounding." She reports feeling light headed, having numbness in her hands and face while having difficulty breathing. She even reports feeling as if she were leaving her body, "I thought I was dying!" After the doctor rules out heart attack, she explains to her doctor that she has always been a worrier. She reports feeling tired most days, can't sleep because of worrying and having difficulty concentrating at work. She reports feeling tired in the day time and being anxious at night.
- Provide a diagnosis with justification based on Sylvia's complaints and report.
