Researchers looked at how body core temperature changed over time for mice that had been exposed to hydrogen sulfide. Tell whether each of the following focuses on data production, displaying and summarizing data, probability, or statistical inference.

a. A scatterplot was used to see how core body temperature changed over time.

b. Researchers concluded that a certain rate of temperature decrease should hold for the population of mice.

c. Caution must be used in applying inference for regression methods, if temperature is recorded over time for the same mouse, because these measurements would not constitute an independent random sample.

d. It would be virtually impossible to see this pronounced a trend, if temperature in general did not change due to exposure to hydrogen sulfide.
