An alpha particle of mass m = 6.68×10-27 kg, positive charge q = 2e, and initial kinetic energy K = 9.00 MeV is projected (from a large distance) toward a heavy nucleus of charge Q = 50e that is fixed in place. Assuming that the particle approaches head-on, how close to the center of the nucleus is the particle when it comes momentarily to rest.
