This is not a research paper; please discuss your personal opinions and experiences on how our culture shapes gender roles and gender expression. You may want to consider ideas like the production of different toys for girls and boys and whether this is problematic for our culture, and whether our generation has more freedom to pursue gender expression than our parents. What about raising children without having them identify with a particular gender (like the "theybies" we saw in the video)? Does this style of parenting appeal to you? Would you consider raising your own children this way?
