Assignment - The Epic of Gilgamesh and Illiad Character Analysis

Description - Compose an EXPOSITORY essay of at least 750 words, comparing major characters in at least 2 of the following stories read in class: Orpheus, Gilgamesh, Hebrew Bible, and Illiad.

You MAY consider one of the following approaches:

-How character(s) embody a particular trait

-How character(s) serves as a conduit, foil, or personification for a major theme

-How character(s) respond to a trying situation and/or are changed by it

-How character(s) conform (or do not conform) to common character types (hero, antihero, villain, sage, accomplice, teacher, confidant, servant, guardian, etc.) or family roles (father, son, brother, sister, etc.)

-How character(s) grow and develop during the course of the story
