Question: Imagine that you don't have the stability to build an effective team and work in a traditional manner as we have enjoyed in the past few decades. Instead, we continue to experience a dynamic business environment (exacerbated by this also happening in life) and need to work quickly and swiftly. Oftentimes, this happens for the individual work but it also happens in the team side of work. Now that you have looked at the basics of teams, how to build an effective team, and what to consider for the team to sustain momentum toward the goal, we will look at a more modern look at teams.
1. Watch this video from Professor Amy Edmondson -- she spends a lot of time studying teams in many different environments and situations.

2. Read the HBR article -- Leadership Lessons Learned from the Chilean Mine Rescue (available from the West Library)
What is happening here that makes this all work? Name at least two specific aspects you learned that were effective and connect to this week's content.
What can you take away from this and apply in your own situation -- work or a personal example.
3. Respond to at least two other students.
How can you extend the approach presented by your peer as to how to overcome the problem? What could you offer as more advice/strategies?
Instructions
Respond to the prompts in an original discussion board post.
Post a response that is well-developed and answers the discussion questions presented. Your response should indicate a clear understanding of organizational behavior and its importance in building an effective organization. Please see the grading rubric for more details on the expectations of your response to this discussion question.
Read through your fellow classmates' posts and reply to two (2) of them with thoughtful responses that extend or challenge their ideas.
Posts and responses should be thorough and thoughtful. Simply posting an "I agree" or "Good idea" will not be considered adequate. Support your statements with examples, experiences, or references. Be brief - limit each post and response to one or two short paragraphs. Remember that fellow learners will be reading and responding to you too.
