Assignment:

Reflection about how this course enlightened your attitudes toward advising and student media. How has this course changed your perspectives about or understanding of free expression, free speech and news literacy for society as a whole? Also, how has what we learned affected your thinking about student expression and the value of student voices? How can you become an advocate for student voices and news literacy either in your future classroom or in whatever career path you choose? This reflection should be at least two full pages.

In another page or two, identify some skills, competencies, and practices that you would still need to master in order to serve as an adviser. What do you still need to learn? What would you be most excited about? What would you struggle with the most? The goal here is to form a plan to improve your skills.

And finally-in as much or as little space as you'd like, offer me a little feedback about this course. What are some things you wanted to learn but didn't? What are some things we could do differently? What are things that worked well? I have numerous thoughts and ideas about changes and improvements for the future as well, but I want to hear from you.
