Crystal explains that she has had a difficult few weeks. During a small social gathering, her father announced that Crystal is attending college to be a "future engineer." Crystal immediately burst into tears at the table and ran to her room. After everyone left, Crystal explained to her parents her desire to pursue a graphic design program. Her father told Crystal that he would not financially support her because there is no stability in graphic design. Despite this blow, Crystal feels a sense of relief, but she is not sure of her next steps.
