Problem: During the 16th and 17th centuries, Protestants and Catholics spent many years fighting one another in armed conflict. Throughout history, many sectarian wars have been fought in the name of religion. What do you think it is about religion that makes people want to fight? Is belligerence inherent in religious commitment or is it a perversion of what religion should be?
