Question: Each year languages die out or become extinct. Some say that this is a good thing since all the people of the world will have a common language one day. They note that we all can understand each other better or reduce the differences that set us apart or may cause prejudice. On the other side, individuals note that languages dying out is not a good thing! Since when a language dies, so does the culture. They ask, "how can those people tell the stories and history if not in their native tongue." They also note that differences between people are what make us rich and diverse.
