One child's mother does not agree and wonders if Janelle is computer illiterate. The mother is concerned that her child is not gaining experience or skills with technology and requests a parent-teacher conference. At the conference, Janelle tells the parent that she does not like the computer and does not see any value in incorporating technology into her teaching. In this situation, what should Janelle, the teacher, do? Is it possible for Janelle to convince the parent that her son does not need the technology to engage in learning opportunities at the school?
