Using your New York Times or another resource, locate current articles related to challenges managers and leaders are facing in the area of motivation and leadership of employees in one of the following industries as they work to retain employees. You have most likely read about the Great Resignation/Great Reshuffling, high numbers of women leaving the workplace, difficulties in retaining employees, etc. We are seeing this turnover particularly in the retail and hospitality industries.

How can managers work to retain employees? Are mass employees resigning from one job and accepting another job due to compensation needs, values, purpose, etc.? What suggestions would you give a manager who asked for your input on what your employer could do to help stop the exodus of employees we are encountering?

Using what you have studied thus far in this course, make a two-page summary of your research in this mass exodus of emloyees swapping from one role to another as it relates to leadership, motivation, management.
