Overview
In this first assessment, you are required to examine a case study on the selected organisation (Woodside Energy) regarding its sustainability efforts and to analyse the internal and external issues, challenges and trends for the business in the medium to long term (that is, the next S to 10 years).
The purpose of this assessment is to develop:
A. your capacity to analyse and comprehend the concepts, models and environments in which organisations operate in a global business setting, and
B. your ability to identify the issues and challenges that impact businesses functioning within the larger societal context.

Marking Criteria
This assessment will measure your:
Identification and discussion of issues: Identify the business issues and problems and their impact on society as introduced in weeks 2, 3, 4: business models, globalisation, and the environmental impacts of business.
Critical analysis: Goes beyond description to critical analysis using only the materials provided in assignment related content and the reading list.
Integration of research evidence to support argument: Successfully integrates material from the case study and the reading list in the analysis of the main issues in the case.
