Culture Analysis. During this course, you will learn about the Hofstede Cultural Dimensions Study. You will select several foreign markets that the businesses operate and/or sell their products in. You will then utilize the Hofstede model to make a comparison between the cultural attributes of those two regions/countries and compare that with the United States cultural dimensions. There are many tools and resources available to tabulate country cultural differences. For example, if you go to https://geert-hofstede.com/countries.html you can compare and contrast countries with one another to discover cultural differences. Here is an example of one a country comparison between Mexico and the United States. Once you have illustrated the cultural differences, you will need to discuss what the implications are for these differences. For example, using the graph above, the United States is very individualistic, and Mexico highly collective (low individualism). What implications does this one cultural difference have for an American business operating in Mexico? What are some of the ideas, suggestions you would have for that American business, if you were advising them on how best to adapt to the Mexican culture?
