A. Therapeutic Intervention: Describe the primary type (s) of therapeutic interventions implemented at your field agency (i.e., cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior, therapy, mindfulness, etc.) Is/are the interventions supported by evidence? How are social workers trained to apply this/these interventions? NOTE: this is where you are speaking broadly about your agency/school and the interventions that are utilized.

B. Application: Select and describe one therapeutic intervention that is currently used at your field agency/school placement and discuss how it is applied with a population (i.e. cognitive behavior theory with adults who experience depression.). Provide step by step description of how the therapeutic intervention is/was implemented with a client you are currently working with or observing. Discuss who else is involved in this therapeutic intervention (i.e., family members, partner, other clinicians)?

C. Theory: Explain the theory that informs your selected therapeutic intervention and discuss how it drives the therapeutic intervention. Demonstrate your understanding of human behavior in the social environment, and how it is applied within the chosen intervention.

D. Critical Reflection: For this section of the paper, please reflect back on your implementation of the intervention with your client described in section B. Provide a critique of your use of the specific intervention skills described in section B of the paper, as well two additional general social work practice skills (i.e., communication, empathy, active listening, etc.). Be sure to address both the use of the skill and outcome.
