Stakeholders plays a crucial role in the healthcare system. They have an interest and investments in healthcare system and can be influence or be affected by its outcomes. Our government and physicians are an external stakeholder. The responsibility is to regulate the healthcare system, providing funding for services and setting policies. The physicians and board members are key stakeholders in the health care system. They have to find a balance between having a gatekeeper role for the insurance companies and being an advocate for the patient.
