Overview:
Select one movie, one television show episode, or one music video to write a 5-page double-spaced paper analyzing how gender is portrayed in your selection. Use at least two course readings to help you analyze your media selection. (Use any media you want)
Expectations:
1. Your paper should revolve around an original thesis statement, or main argument, that appears in the introduction of the paper.
2. Your paper should draw on at least one concept from lectures and/or course readings to help you analyze how gender is portrayed in your selection.
3. The body of your paper should provide evidence and analysis to support your original thesis statement.
4. Your paper should include a references page using ASA Style (American Sociological Association) where you cite course material used and your movie, show, or video selection.

1. How are people of different genders portrayed?
2. Does your selection include representations of various genders, or does it reflect a rigid gender binary?
3. Does your selection draw on gender stereotypes? If so, does your selection challenge stereotypes, conform to them, or both? How?
