Additionally, LLCs typically have less regulatory burden and administrative requirements compared to corporations, making them a popular choice for small businesses. It is interesting to see that with a LLC you are not subject to many of the restrictions that apply with S corporations, making them more attractive. My dad owns an LLC for his construction company and he is the only member which means the LLC is treated as a sole proprietorship. My question is, is there any differences with the LLC being treated as a sole proprietorship and being treated as a division or branch of the entity?
