But, legislators have defined some things related to these crimes. Use the NC General Statutes to find the answers to the questions below. NOTE: Crimes in NC are classified by classes. A is the worst! 1. 14-2-4: In general, most conspiracy crimes are punished at one class than the felony or misdemeanor the criminal conspired to commit 2. 90-98: How are attempts and conspiracies punished under the NC Controlled Substances Act? Why do you think there is a distinction? 3. 14-2-5: How does NC generally punish attempts?
