Read the following scenario, then answer the questions that follow.

Case Scenario: Albus was opening a landscaping business and planned on hiring 2 assistants. He advertised in the local newspaper and on an internet job site to find the right employees. Of the applicants, Albus decided on 2 people: Hagrid, an experienced landscaper and gardener, and Neville, a graduate from a landscaping program who seemed very creative. Albus spent 2 days demonstrating his equipment to his new staff and going over the duties and schedule with them. He was especially careful to explain the hazards of the job. Albus provided the necessary safety equipment, and insisted that the staff wear safety boots. Hagrid and Neville had a chance to learn on the job the next day, when they started to landscape the properties. Albus noticed very quickly that Hagrid was a good worker. Neville, however, had some good ideas but didn't spend a lot of effort on his tasks. To make sure his company was running smoothly, Albus regularly went to job sites to observe his employees. After 2 weeks of observing Neville, Albus gave him some feedback to try and improve his quality of work. Neville was angry at first, but promised to improve. Albus noticed a slight improvement right after their conversation, but Neville soon went back to his old behaviour. Albus tried to motivate Neville again by taking away his extra week of vacation. Neville became bitter and angry because he wanted to spend more time with his family during his vacation. Even after receiving the punishment, Neville's work habits did not change. Albus finally decided to dismiss him. Before starting the recruitment process over again, Albus made notes of the errors he might have made in hiring Neville so that he might avoid such problems in the future.
