There are many "moving parts" to the Affordable Care Act, and we will all see how these moving parts come together in, hopefully, a holistic way. Based upon any research you are able to accomplish on your own please do the following.
a. Define adverse selection in a general way and then provide a more specific definition of adverse selection in an insurance market.
b. Explain how adverse selection manifests itself and becomes a problem in insurance markets.
c. Identify at least two policy issues created in the drafting and implementation of the Affordable Care Act that were influenced by adverse selection. Fully explain the issues and identify the solutions allowed by the policy to the adverse selection problems.
2. Please give an example, that does not appear in the web pages, The entry barrier could benefit a single firm or it could benefit a small group of firms. Provide some documentation of the entry barrier, a citation, etc.
Clearly talk about how the entry barrier functions and what you think the (market) value of that entry barrier is.
3. Is there an entrepreneurial solution to the homeless problem in America? If so suppose you are the entrepreneur pitching the investment to a group of potential funders for your idea.
Explain the idea, explain what evidence there is that the idea will work and construct the "pitch".
