Your supervisor has tasked you with planning an activity that will help your client group to learn more about different cultures, while having some fun!
To begin, consider the demographic characteristics of the city or town in which you live and / or work. The United States Census Bureau website, linked below, might be helpful in this regard. You can search by your zip code and then examine the population breakdown in terms of age, race, gender, etc.

Understanding the racial breakdown of the area in which you live or work, plan an activity that will help your selected client group learn more about a culture that is not the dominant group within your area. For example, if you live in a geographic region where the population is primarily White, you might want to plan an activity to help clients learn more about American Indians. If you live in a geographic region where the population is primarily Black or African American, you might want to plan an activity to help clients lean more about Chinese culture.

C. Justify your rationale for selecting this particular activity and detail how you think it would help your clients to learn about another culture.
D. Analyze how you could modify or tweak the activity you created for use with a different client group-
E. So, for example, if you planned an activity for children with developmental disabilities, how could that activity be modified for work with at-risk adolescents or elderly individuals?
F. Explain how the activity you planned demonstrates cultural awareness, cultural sensitivity, and respect for cultural diversity.
G. Finally, conclude your essay with a synthesis of how cultural awareness, cultural sensitivity, and respect for cultural diversity will be important in your work as a human and social services professional. Give examples of how you will ensure you are best serving all client populations in a way that is culturally sensitive and responsive.
