Question: The authors collected the following information on menstrual hygiene (the exposure): Women were asked about the most common absorbent material used during the last 6 cycles; frequency and place for absorbent change during menstrual periods; and body hygiene washing practices during menstruation. Respondents who reused absorbents were also asked to describe absorbent hygienic practices: how absorbents were washed, dried, packaged and stored. Respondents were also asked if they changed their hygiene practices due to symptoms.
