Assignment:
As a juvenile court probation officer who as been assigned to a 15 year old female client with a history of running away and has connections to gangs was found in a stolen car with three known gang members. The client is a known user to marijuana and has a no higher education level than an 8th grade level. The client has been diagnosed with ADHD, substance abuse, conduct disorder, and PTSD. She is considered to be a biracial female who identifies as a lesbian. Her father is deceased, and the mothers whereabouts are unknown.
She has four siblings, two older and two younger, the two younger siblings are in child custody services, and resides with various family members. The client legal guardien is her grandmother who is unsure if she wants to continue to allow the client to live with her due to her behavior and criminal history. The client currently appears before a juvenile court for runaway, and felony auto theft. The clients whereabouts were unknown for approximately three months when she was arrested with two known gang members on an auto theft charge. The client prior juvenile history is a runaway 5 times, 1st time was at the age of 11, shoplifting at age 12, theft at age 14, and truancy at age 15. Gang affiliation associate of criminal street gang member, older brother is in a gang. The client was also sexaully abused at the age of 5 and was not reported at the time of the incident, and nofurther investigation has been reported.
Create a case plan for the client. The case plan should identify and incorporate the youth's strengths and needs.
