One of the objections to Kant's philosophy is that his insistence on absolutes does not allow for exceptions -- such as if a madman with a knife comes to your house looking for one of your friends, are you still obligated to telll the truth and tell the madman where your friend is? Kant believes one should always tell the truth without considering consequences (like the ethical egoists and the utilitarians). What do you think?
