A 90-year-old female nursing home resident presents secondary to decreased urine output. According to the transfer form from the nursing home, she has a history of neurogenic bladder and has a chronic foley catheter. She is also post-stroke with a PEG tube. On physical examination, the patient is not oriented and has dry mucous membranes. There is about 200cc of dark urine in the foley bag. BMP shows a Cr of 2.1, her last Cr was 1.3 three months ago. What is the first step in determining the cause of this patients AKI? Flush foley catheter 1L NS Bolus Obtain CT abdomen pelvis with contrast Determine DNR/DNI status.
