At home environment based experiment. 2page double spaced.

1. Prepare a list of how much trash you think you (or your family) use and throw away in one week, and after one week, go through your trash and list the amounts of

a) food waste,

b) plastic waste,

c) glass waste,

d) paper-product waste.

For those days or times you eat out or other on-campus option, estimate what you threw away vs. recycled (like the metal utensils and plastic glasses). Did what you think you did match what you actually did? Of the material you threw away, how much of it do you think was recyclable? Would you support a recycling program in your town or on campus?

Also add what you did to minimize your waste.
