In your essay, address the following:
Explain the importance of the chosen curriculum area in the child's learning and what children can learn from the curriculum area (consider things such as math, language, and science concepts).

Consider how play in the chosen curriculum area promotes the holistic development of the child. Be sure to address each of the five developmental domains (social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional).

Choose one of the four holistic play-based goals outlined in the Early Learning and Child Care Curriculum Framework for Alberta. Identify the goal and descriptors and consider to use them to reflect upon and interpret the play experiences within the chosen curriculum area.

Choose two of the five dispositions to learn outlined in the Early Learning and Child Care Curriculum Framework for Alberta. Identify and describe the dispositions and explain how to nurture them through play in the chosen curriculum area.

Provide concrete examples within your essay, and draw from current and past experiences working with young children.
